Cathedral Shop is open on the ground floor of the University of Tartu Museum.
You can find books on the tales of Toome Hill as well as the historical and contemporary scientific achievements of the University of Tartu, souvenirs, jewellery and a much more.
Our product line includes both books and films on the history of the University of Tartu as well as objects linked to the deeds of famous professors. Buy a matchbox decorated with pictures of Laspeyres, Pirogov, Struve and Lotman or enjoy a bag of Krause chips and Morgenstern sweets. We also have the entire collection of University of Tartu Press publications on sale, from professional association publications to fiction.
One of the main characters of the souvenirs is the Crazy Scientist, the protagonist of the children’s and student’s programmes at the Museum. The Crazy Scientist’s souvenirs invite you to try things at home and are great gifts – from felt laptop sleeves to large-scale bubble wands.
The souvenirs come in all shapes and sizes. They are suitable gifts for locals and a great memento of Tartu to take abroad. Most of the merchandise is made in Estonia.
The Museum Shop is open during the opening hours of the Museum and we accept both cash and card payments.
A smaller selection of the merchandise is also available in the University of Tartu Art Museum and the Old Observatory.
