Schoolchildren can participate in the University of Tartu Museum’s educational programmes, which combine theoretical knowledge with fun practical activities. The Museum’s programmes complement formal school education and are a great alternative to in-class lessons.

We offer middle school and high school students

You can also invite the Crazy Scientist to your school, organise birthdays in the Crazy Scientist’s Office, take part in his experiments every Saturday morning and obtain new and exciting knowledge on training days and study camps.

The Museum’s annual exhibition is accompanied by thematic educational programmes which offer a diverse scope of approaches to the topics of the exhibition.

You can take a guided tour of the permanent and other exhibitions and learn about the history of the University of Tartu through the centuries or any other topic that might interest you.

University students can also benefit from the Museum’s educational programme. First-year students can take a guided tour to learn about how their field of study began and visit the Museum’s collections. For museology and archive students the Museum is a valuable internship base.
