The headless man and fried peacock – tales from the medieval Tartu

During the tour we will talk about medieval Toome Hill. We will take a look at the open medieval tomb, talk about the glory of the medieval cathedral and everyday life of medieval people. The tour includes a tasting experience.

During the tour we will visit the University of Tartu Museum. The tour takes partly place in the outdoors.

The tour lasts 45 minutes. The cost of the tour is 8 € per person. The minimum price for the group is 140 €. The group should no tbe larger than 30 people.

In the footsteps of students

The tour introduces the customs and lifestyle of the 19th century student in Tartu. The visitors will find out what was the fitting punishment for not returning the library books on time and where students used to have duels. At the end of the tour they will know what was the 19th century students’ life like and whether they had any time for studying.

The tour starts from the University of Tartu main building and finishes at the University of Tartu Museum on Toome Hill. During the tour we will visit the historical auditorium and take a closer look at the lock-up or student prison. After that we will move up to the Toome Hill and visit the University of Tartu Museum. The tour takes partly place in the outdoors and involves a lot of climbing the stairs. The tour includes a tasting experience.

The cost of the tour is 12 € per person and it takes 75 minutes. The minimum price for the group is 190 €. The group should not be larger than 30 people.
